NomNom Insights

An onboarding experience for new users of a customer feedback integration tool.

In a two week project, I worked in a team of four to develop an onboarding experience for their B2B SaaS platform. We used Competitor Analysis, User Surveys and Interviews, Personas, User Flows, Paper Prototyping, Digital Wireframing, Mid and Hi-fi Mock-ups, Clickable Prototypes and presented our work and our recommendations as a team. I especially enjoyed user interviews where getting to the really useful insights required both active listening and polite persistence. We worked well as a team and I am incredibly proud of the creative solution we presented. If we could do it again however, I would have spent more time reviewing our design principles - they came to save the day when we made a last minute pivot!

Ben & his team did a great job on the brief we set them as part of his General Assembly course. We were really impressed at how well they understood our business and the challenges we face in such a short space of time. The ideas and designs they presented back to us were intelligently thought out from a user’s perspective and backed up with copious amounts of research, we’ll happily be implementing their work in the near future.

Twitch

An additional on-demand service for the world's most popular streaming site for computer gamers.

A two week concept project (at General Assembly), where I worked in a team of three creating a new feature for website of gaming videos market leader Twitch. We were tasked to provide functionality for on-demand walk-thru videos. This needed to work for uploaders and content-providers alike. I especially enjoyed working on the mock-ups or the responsive screens. Given the chance to do the project again, I would have like to have been more open to the idea of reframing the brief to cater for new users as we found very few existing users who were interested in the feature. I learnt a lot regarding clear team communication and division of tasks and took this into my client project.

Buddha Back Routes

Mobile App for cyclists looking for quiet routes.

A two week concept project in week-long sprints, working solo, to create a solution for an undisclosed problem. With rigorous enquiry, I found out that an issue that my client had was getting to work on his bike without the unnecessary stress of main roads. The app idea I came to was based on my client divulging that he sometimes followed other cyclists down back routes and would love to know their value beforehand.
